The chains are metaphorical representation of Cynder's ties to both Spyro and Malefor.
-----------How This Relates to "Good VS Evil: Bring Your Vision to Life":Brief summary :
This is the Good VS Evil turmoil within Cynders mind. Cynder was raised by Malefor (reflected on her left eye); and therefore exposed to pure evil. However, once she battled and lost to Spyro in the first of the trilogy games, she betrayed and left the Malefor to be with Spyro.Thesis:
How can good and evil be categorised as separate things when they are one in the same?Evidence in the "Legend of Spyro" trilogy games:
- Cynder left Malefor (Dark Master) and joined Spyro to stop Malefor's reign of terror and darkness. This is a good act.
- However, this was an act of betrayal, even towards an evil character it is an evil act
. As a resultant, this questions Cynder's motives and where her loyalties truly lie.
- Malefor raised and used Cynder to help himself to be resurrected from his previous demise. Evil act.
- Although Cynder was raised and influenced by evil, she still grew up to be very powerful, successful and therefore provided with many opportunities. She had her own henchmen and was feared by all.
However, as evil as this may be, the parental act of Malefor, which was providing her with his knowledge in which he encouraged her to use them, is still also a good act
because this is one of the many goals of a good parental figure would have.

All digitally done with a mouse (and keybord lol).
